Nipple correction

Pretty and well shaped breasts represent a symbol of femininity for most women. The nipple is placed centrally on the breast and it greatly contributes to its esthetics. Beside optical, it is also very important in the sensory way, as a hypersensitive point of women's breasts. Beside breast size, inverted nipple can also negatively influence the woman's psyche. This anomaly is mostly congenital, but it can also be caused by an infection or surgical procedure in the past.

How is inverted nipple correction done?

In order to place an inverted nipple into its correct position we have to make a few millimeters long incision along the nipple line. Connective tissue and milk glands, that invert the nipple must be detached. Thereafter, using circular sutures under the skin we connect the edge of the nipple with the tissue and glands, and it is tightened in order to bring the nipple to its correct position. The procedure is generally done under local anesthesia, although it can also be done under general anesthesia.
