Breast enlargement (Augmentation Mammoplasty)
Pretty and well shaped breasts represent a symbol of femininity for most women. Small or asymmetrical breasts can cause serious psychological and mental traumas for women. Surgery can give you the wanted size and shape of breasts, keeping their natural appearance. If the breasts are asymmetrical, that can be corrected during the same intervention.

How is breast enlargement done?
For breast augmentation we generally use implants made of artificial materials, e.g. “cohesive” ( silicon gel). There are different forms of implants at your disposal. Round with a high profile or low profile and anatomical form. With lowered breasts, implant is placed in front of the muscles, if additional stretching is not wanted. With breasts, that are not lowered, e.g. have some of its own tissue, implant is placed behind the breast muscle. Relatively small incision is made under the armpit or breast line. If implants cause no problems, i.e. remain soft, they do not have to be replaced for the next ten years. Implants can also achieve visible stretching. If the breast is visibly lowered, therefore a surgical stretching must be done additionally. If the breast is too lowered, it cannot be corrected by an implant and additional stretching must be done. Excess skin is removed, the breast is anchored to the breast muscle, keeping its new tight form. The scars are around the nipples, vertically and on the lower edge of the areolas in the area of breast line and chest.
What happens before a breast augmentation surgery?
During extensive consult with your doctor, you will be informed about other interventions, which are suitable for you and can be combined with breast augmentation surgery. A week before and after the surgery you must avoid coagulants (contact your general practitioner). You will be instructed not to eat or drink in the six hours preceding the surgery.
What happens after a breast augmentations surgery?
After the procedure you get a drainage for wound secretion and waterproof band-aid on the incisions, which are removed after 2 weeks. The breasts will be wrapped and you will get a compression garment you should wear for at least 4 weeks. Wear it night and day during the first week, and than only during the day for the next 3 weeks. You will experience bruising, swelling and soreness in the breasts but it will disappear in a few days. The drainage is removed in 2 - 7 days, and the sutures in 7 - 14 days. You may take a shower only after the sutures have been removed.
What are the results of a breast enlargement surgery?
All breast correction surgeries are done to improve the shape, size and firmness of breasts, with invisible scars. Breast asymmetry can be completely corrected with different implant sizes. The final result will be visible in 2 - 3 months.
